Chandu of Company and Maya Dolas of Shootout At Lokhandwala has a new name now. With Mission Istanbul, Vivek Oberoi will don the role of Commander Rizwan. Getting geared with his new venture, Vivek is going all out to promote Mission Istanbul. The Oberoi lad made a great comeback with his gangster film, Shootout At Lokhandwala and now is looking forward at different projects. He says, “I am an actor. I am greedy. I always want to do more.” After doing a series of action films like Dum, Company and the more recent Shootout…, Vivek is almost set in the mold of an action hero. “Now the perception is that of a tough, macho action guy and I like it,” smiles the actor. So is it farewell to romantic flicks like Saathiya? He says, “All my female fans are getting really mad at me. At the IIFA awards a bunch of girls gheraoed me and asked why am I not doing love stories any more. I told them to back off as they were scaring the action hero.” He added, “As of now, I do have a script, very much like Saathiya. It’s a slice of life, romantic film.” Prod him to speak about his dancing skills on show of late and he says, “Not many know that I was Farah Khan’s assistant before I joined films. In fact, I used to get tea for Farah and her team.” An action hero, good at dancing and playing a lover boy, how long before we see him in a comedy flick? A little wary, Vivek says, “I have not done many comedies and whatever I have done has not worked for me.
